Haapajärven ja Kasukkalan kyläalueiden ympäristössä toimivalla seuralla on metsästysaluetta noin 4300 hehtaaria.
Seuraan kuuluu noin 100 jäsentä, jotka asuvat tai omistavat maata seuran toiminta-alueella. Seuraan liittyminen on mahdollista kylien alueella vakituisesti asuville tai henkilöille, jotka ovat vuokranneet seuralle maata metsästys- ja riistanhoitokäyttöön. Jäsenhakemus lähetetään seuran johtokunnalle, joka esittää hakemuksen vuosikokouksen äänestettäväksi.

Keskisaaren Metsästäjät ry on lopettanut toimintansa ja liittynyt 1.8.2013 lähtien Haapajärven Metsästysseura ry:hyn.
Maanvuokrasopimukset on uusittu ja ne on tehty Haapajärven Metsästäjät ry:n kanssa.
